Junior Bowls Selection Trials Wrap-Up
Last Sunday Wagga RSL hosted the Riverina Murray Junior bowls selection trials for the coveted 7-side team, showcasing an impressive display of talent and dedication. Participants competed in a series of challenging drills and short matches, each demonstrating their skills and commitment to the sport.
The standard of play was exceptionally high across the board, making the selectors’ task of finalising the team both exciting and difficult. The selectors now face the tough decision of choosing from a pool of highly skilled bowlers, all of whom have shown they are worthy of representing their Region at this level.
Congratulations to all who participated—your performance has set a strong foundation for the future of junior bowls.
The 7-a-side team of Singles/Pairs/Fours will be chosen over the next couple of months for the Junior Event to be held @ West Dubbo on the weekend of the 12-13 July. This date is still be confirmed by Bowls NSW.
On behalf of the Region, I would like to thank Max Sanbrook President Wagga RSL Bowling Club and his band of helpers on making the day successful and a really big thankyou to the parents and friends of the junior players ensuring that they were able to attend.
And finally, a really big thanks to the Junior Committee who attended all day namely Jessica Cousley, Martin Cousley and Corey Hazel.
